With the current rise in implant surgery, more and more patients are requiring specialist care and maintenance.
Did you know you can suffer from peri-implantitis (gum disease) around an implant which can worsen very quickly if not addressed and treated and can lead to loss of an expensive surgically placed implant. Peri-implantitis is a destructive inflammatory process affecting the soft and hard tissues surrounding dental implants. The soft tissues become inflamed whereas the alveolar bone (hard tissue), which surrounds the implant for the purposes of retention, is lost over time. Keeping the implants very clean at home with daily Interdental cleaning and a good electric toothbrush, combined with 3-6mths of airflow treatment act as the best maintenance. Recommended by the Periodontal (gum) specialists.
We aim to provide our patients with the very best care and treatment and is exactly why White Peak Dental Practice has recently invested in the EMS Air Flow One. This machine provides ‘Guided Biofilm Therapy’ and is designed to give treatment in the least invasive and most comfortable way. Warm water and pleasantly flavoured, kind to soft tissues and restorative work and overall, a great way to remove those harmful bacteria.
If you have Dental implants – consider joining our Implant Plan for 3 monthly visits or care Plan Plus for 6 monthly visits on recommendation tailored to you from our Dentists and Hygienists
