After qualifying in the 80’s and spending time working in other dental practices Dave and Sue decided in 1999 to take the plunge together and open White Peak Dental Practice in the heart of the Ashbourne community. After providing NHS care for a number of years they decided in 2009 to make the move to become a fully private and independent practice as they felt that changes in the NHS were not allowing them to deliver the quality and care for their patients that they desired. Between them they bring a wealth of experience and both participate regularly in postgraduate courses to keep up to date with current developments in the dental field. Sue enjoys helping patients achieve their dental goals whether improving their smile or making it easier for them to eat, whilst Dave is interested in restorative dentistry and occlusal treatments (jaw joint problems). Dave is also a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists and regularly attends their courses. Outside of work Dave has a passion for quizzes and is often found listening to the Radio 2 daily quiz, and as well as this he likes to walk, cook and play tennis. Sue enjoys exploring new horizons through travel, music, reading and different cuisines with her family and friends. She also enjoys Zumba, tennis and walking. |
LISA PERRYPractice Manager
Qualified Dental nurse since Sept 1995, NVQ in Customer Care and Management Diploma in Business Management Over 25 years working in the dental industry from high end private clinics in London to busy mixed NHS practices. Working as a nurse, receptionist and treatment coordinator allowed for the experience to develop into a management role. Over six years’ experience as a Practice Manager and a passion for creating a well-supported and winning team that delivers excellent customer and patient care. Lisa is responsible for the smooth day to day running of the practice along with all the marketing and advertising and is always happy to talk to patients in the practice.
Outside of work Lisa can be found either in the gym or relaxing with friends and family usually with a glass of prosecco. |
DR REBEKAH STONE, GDC NO. 229738Dentist
BChD 2012 University of Leeds, PG Dip Endo 2017 University of Chester Rebekah joined the practice as an associate in July 2018. Having qualified as a dentist in 2012 from the University of Leeds, she has developed her career in a combination of NHS and private practices in and around the Peak District. In 2017 Rebekah was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontology from the University of Chester, having chosen to further her knowledge in this specific area of dentistry after developing a keen interest in root canal treatment (Endodontics) during the early years of her career.
Outside of her work Rebekah enjoys attending her weekly dance class, trips to the theatre, and eating out. |
DR SHIMA TAI, GDC NO. 178002Dentist
BDS MFDS University of Sheffield Shima qualified from The University of Sheffield in 2009. She practiced in Yorkshire before relocating to make Derby her home. She has continued with postgraduate studies and completed her diploma of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
Shima aims to create a calm and relaxed environment while achieving high standards of care for all her patients. She is a firm believer in holistic dentistry and educating her patients in dental health so they are able to prevent future damage to teeth and gums. Shima enjoys all aspects of Dentistry and regularly attends dental courses and training to keep up to date with new techniques. Outside of work, Shima enjoys travelling and learning about different cultures and traditions. She enjoys going for long walks with her husband and spending time with her family. |
DR ZAHRA DIN, GDC NO. 251753Dentist
BDS MFDS University of Birmingham Zahra qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2014. The following year she won the best regional audit for Health Education East midlands. Zahra is known to her patients for being a caring and gentle individual, helping patients overcome their dental anxiety and providing them with the utmost care.
Zahra is dedicated to ensuring her patients love their smile and therefore offers various cosmetic treatments such as teeth straightening, bonding and whitening. Facial aesthetics is another range of treatment Zahra is able to offer; providing wrinkle reducing treatment and fillers. Outside of work Zahra is a professional hair and makeup artist and loves doing henna. |
CARLY HALL, GDC NO. 152713Dental Therapist
Diploma in Dental Hygiene & Therapy Sheffield 2008 (Distinction) Carly has been with White Peak since 2008 and has over 20 years’ experience in the dental industry, previously working as a dental nurse. She provides our patients here with a fantastic hygienist service and oral heath advice as well as treating children with preventative fissure sealants. Carly is popular with many of our patients and takes a great deal of pride and care in her role to ensure patients receive the best possible advice. Outside of work as a farmer’s wife and a mum of three beautiful children she doesn’t have much spare time but when she does she likes to go horse-riding and socialise with friends and family. |
Jonathan Hill, GDC NO. 6357Dental Therapist
Diploma in Dental Hygiene & Therapy Leeds 2003 I qualified at Leeds Dental Institute in 2003 as a Dental Hygiene / Therapist. Previous to this I have worked as a Practice Manager and a qualified Dental Nurse. I am both committed and enthusiastic in providing good dental care and as a Hygiene / Therapist I am proud to be a member of the White Peak Dental team.
In my home life I enjoy family time and gatherings which include walks and socialising with a bit of karaoke. I keep myself active and take part in gym sessions and the odd park run. |
PETYA PEEVA, GDC NO. 245365Hygienist
Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy Sheffield 2016 Petya joined our dynamic team in 2018 having previously worked as a dental nurse in private practice followed by her graduation in Dental Hygiene and Therapy at the University of Sheffield. She has a keen interest in all aspects across her professional scope and is confident providing a wide range of treatments including dental restorations and tooth whitening. However, with the particular focus on her practice as a dental hygienist, she continuously undertakes further periodontal training courses in order to maintain an exceptional standard of care for our patients. Outside of work Petya is a happy busy mum of a lovely boy and enjoys organising outdoor activities for family and friends. In her spare time, she has a keen interest in music, sport nutrition and fitness, and particularly enjoys attending regular HIIT exercise classes. |
AMY Gartside, GDC No. 104941Treatment Care Coordinator
Qualified dental nurse since 2002, National exam Dental Radiography 2008, Dental Health Educator since: 2004 NVQ level 2 in Admin (2002) and Customer Service (2003) NVQ level 3 in Management Amy is the senior nurse in the practice and is therefore responsible for the smooth running of all clinical areas in the practice and the overseeing of the dental nurses, cross infection and stock. Alongside this she supports our dentists and patients as a Treatment Coordinator. Amy has many years dental experience and she used this in 2011 when she volunteered to go to Tanzania with the “Bridge 2 Aid” charity as a dental nurse. Amy has been working here in the practice since 1999 and therefore is well known to many of our patients. Outside of work Amy likes to spend time with her two children. |
KATHRYN Wallis, GDC No. 188815
Qualified dental nurse since March 2010, qualified First Aider
Kathryn has worked in both mixed NHS and also private dental practice and has a great deal of experience in all aspects of dentistry. Amongst her other responsibilities in the practice she is one of our excellent qualified First Aiders and is our creative team member and the person responsible for creating all of the practice information displays, posters and newsletters. Kathryn also supports the hygienists in the practice and ensures we keep a stock of all new dental products for purchase by our patients. Outside of work Kathryn likes to spend time with her husband and son and enjoys baking and going shopping. |

Clara is a very experienced qualified dental nurse with many years’ experience in all aspects of the dental industry. Clara has been a valued member of staff for many years and returned after a short break when she moved areas for a while. Outside of work Clara loves to spend time with her young family and socialising with her friends. |
NANDA BROWN, GDC NO. 298578Qualified Dental Nurse
Nanda joined the practice in Dec 2017 to provide a welcome support to our front of house reception area. After enjoying her role on reception Nanda decided to start her training as a Dental Nurse last year and has recently passed her dental nurse qualification. Nanda is a very valuable team member in the surgeries. Although she works in surgery supporting our dentists and hygienists on odd days she still understands the need for good customer care and can still be found helping out reception from time to time. Nanda works with us on four days of the week as the rest of her time is spent with her young family. She also enjoys reading and walking. |
SOPHIE CADMAN-SMITHQualified Dental Nurse (Awaiting GDC Registration)
Sophie joined us in Feb 2020 as our apprentice. Sophie has recently passed her Dental Nurse Qualification through Derby College and is enjoying supporting our Dentist in the practice now to develop her knowledge. Sophie has adapted well to her role in practice after a complete career change. Outside of work she enjoys socialising with friends and family and shopping. |
LAURA FEELYTrainee Dental Nurse
Laura is one of our new trainee dental nurses and has just recently enrolled on her college course to work towards her qualification. She is an experienced receptionists and is often found helping out our reception team when she is not assisting or observing in surgery. Outside of work Laura loves to spend her time keeping fit, walking and enjoying the outside with her dog. |
JILL CUNNiNGHAM
Reception Coordinator, Qualified dental nurse since 2005
Jill is a familiar face to many of our patients as she has been with the practice for over 15 years, both as a dental nurse and a receptionist. Jill has had the experience of working through the years of the practice being NHS before it turned private. Her role is part of the front of house reception team who ensure the smooth running of reception area and appointments. Jill is now in the practice for only three days as she has decided to spend more of her spare time with her young grandchildren. Jill also likes to read, walk and travel when she gets the opportunity. |
DEBORAH TAYLOR, GDC NO. 157220Receptionist and Qualified Dental Nurse since 2007
Deborah is a fully qualified dental nurse but has joined our practice as our front of house receptionist. She has many years’ experience in the dental industry and is able to manage the day to day running of our busy reception. Deborah is our main point of contact for anyone enquiring about the Practice Plan Membership. Outside of work Debs is a keen seamstress and loves to revamp old furniture along with spending time with her family and partner. She is a keen seamstress and loves walking. |
